Christie Twist gives you three software options for warping and blending on any Christie 3-chip DLP projector. This software allows pixels to be mapped more easily onto any projection surface, maintaining proper geometry and accurate pixel-to-pixel alignment. This solution provides the high-quality warping and blending required for arrayed projectors to operate as a single, uniform display with maximum image quality and minimum system latency. Christie Twist technology also provides networked projector control by allowing the user to launch a virtual remote from within the Twist software with all the functionality of standard infrared remotes.
Each version of Christie Twist is tailored to specific needs: from simple flat screen multi-projector warps and blends to highly multifaceted applications. The Christie Twist product family includes three tiers of specialized software - each for different application requirements. Christie Twist software is a free download from our website. Christie Twist Premium and Christie Twist Pro are paid upgrades and provide additional functionality for more complex projects.
Christie Twist and Christie Twist Premium are ideal for live theater and events, projection mapping, tradeshows, large classrooms, corporate boardrooms, museums, houses of worship, casinos and entertainments facilities, and more.
For more intricate projects – including flight simulators, virtual caves and domes - Christie Twist Pro delivers unlimited arbitrary placement points for greater accuracy. When purchasing Pro or Premium, customers can buy a dongle to attach to a PC running Twist software or license individual projectors and eliminate the need for a dongle.

Christie Twist Premium

What does hybrid licensing for Christie Twist Premium and Twist Pro mean?
Christie Twist Premium and Twist Pro support a hybrid licensing model. This means you have the choice to buy a dongle to attach to a computer running Twist Premium or Pro software, or to license individual projectors which removes the requirement for a dongle to run Twist Premium or Pro.
The projector licensing option is ideal for permanent installations which feature a smaller number of projectors or where you have concerns that the dongle may get lost.
If I purchase a dongle version of Christie Twist Premium or Pro, do I need to also purchase the corresponding projector license?
No, the individual projector licensing is only required if you do not want to purchase the dongle version.
What happens if I use Christie Twist software with projectors that have been licensed with different tiers of Twist?
There is only one version of Christie Twist software, Twist Premium and Pro features are enabled on launch based on the dongle attached, or the Twist version licensed to the individual projectors. In the case where you are using a mix of Twist Pro and Twist Premium licensed projectors, the software will automatically downgrade to the lowest license you have in the projector array.
Is it possible to upgrade an older version of Christie Twist to the latest version of Twist?
No, since the latest version of Christie Twist does not support legacy projectors there is no upgrade path.
What does the projector limit mean on Christie Twist and Twist Premium?
The free version of Christie Twist is limited to 6 projectors in the same array, meaning you cannot blend or warp more than 6 projectors together in the same array. Twist Premium increases the maximum projector array to support up to 18 projectors, while Twist Pro does not have a limit on the number of projectors in the array.
